The approval of the urban study for the Settlement “ANOIXI" took place under with the num. 14347/5-4-2005 decision by the Minister of Environment of Land planning and Public Work (OFFICIAL JOURNAL OF THE HELLENIC REPUBLIC t. D΄ 370/6-4-2005).
With this decision was approved the urban plan for the Settlement extent and were included to this 270.000 sq,m.
Were determined buildable spaces, roads, pedestrian roads, communal areas, play grounds, church areas, squares, car parkings, theatre areas, biological cleaning, market space and reservoir.
The 61 building blocks that total the Settlement include 288 open throughout plots from 460 sq,m. – 600sq.m.
Moreover was approved the urban regulation of the region and were determined:
•Areas of general residence (building blocks 61,54,55 as well as sections of the num. 10 and 30), for residential use, geust houses up to 20 beds, commercial shops of daily needs, offices as well as administrative, buildings, of cultural and social providence.
•“Market” areas where are allowed commercial shops that serve the needs of residents of this settlement, surgery, cafes, public aggregation area and office. More specifically as for the terms of layout (in general):
• Factor of cover: 30%.
• Building Factor: 0,4
• Height: 7m and 2m roof
The Settlement is situated in green area at an altitude of 230-300 meters above the sea level. The place, the morphology and the orientation of the individual properties ensure exceptional view towards the mountains Pilion, Orthry, Velouhi, Parnassos as well as to the gulfs North Eubean, Maliako and Pagasitikos.
The Settlement is situated in North Evia in the area “Linaraki of” Edipsos Municipality (former Community of Agios) above the village Agios, in distance:
• 1 km from Old Edipsos
• 4km. from the Edipsos Baths
• 4km from the Agiokampos port
• 20km from the Istiea province (Health centre)
• 100km from the cities Larissa and Volos (Airports-hospitals)
• 200km from Athens
The village Agios is semi-mountainous , built at the foot of mount Telethrion, in an area verdant of olive trees, fritterer trees and rich vegetation. In the antiquity the city was the supplier of purple for the dye of royal clothing.
